Van Lam Village has a high population density and the highest number of households engaged in tourism services in Hoa Lu District. Most villagers live by rowing boats to carry tourists, run accommodation businesses, and provide food and drink services.
Tam Coc-Bich Dong Tourist Complex has many modern houses and buildings despite being a village. Foreigners are easy to see in every corner of the town, as the complex welcomes some 1,000 foreign visitors a day.
Every evening, tourists from various attractions in Ninh Binh often flock to Van Lam for dinner, entertainment and recreation.
