Huong Pagoda Festival opens on February 3, 2025.
The spring festival, which will last three months until May 1, is expected to receive about 20,000 visitors on the opening day, according to Dang Van Canh, Vice Chairman of My Duc District People's Committee and head of the festival's organising committee,
"To enhance convenience and save time for visitors, we've integrated entrance and boat tickets," he said, adding that nearly 4,000 boats have been well-prepared to transport visitors from the early morning hours of 4.30 am until 8 pm.
The official said that each boatman will feature a QR code to streamline management by the organising board and facilitate feedback on their service attitude. This will ensure visitors have a smooth and enjoyable experience at the festival.
"The Huong Pagoda Festival aims to continue affirming the value of traditional festival culture and promote the significance of the Special National Relic Site," Canh stressed. "Additionally, it creates a joyful and festive atmosphere for the people and visitors at the beginning of the new spring."
The Huong Son Landscape Complex features a group of Buddhist pagodas, caves, and temples. Built in the late 17th century, this complex boasts numerous pagodas, temples, and caves adorned with marvellous stalactites and stalagmites. A highlight is Huong Tich Cave, which features a carved inscription by Lord Trinh Sam from 1770 praising it as the most beautiful cave in the country.
