The city’s People’s Committee has extended the submission deadline to June 10 and revised the rules, increasing the first prize from VND 150 million to VND 500 million. Four consolation prizes have also been doubled to VND 20 million each.
If no final design is selected, five shortlisted entries will each receive VND 20 million in support.
Authorities said the contest seeks an official logo for use in domestic and international communications and promotional activities.

Entries must be original and unpublished, and cannot be used commercially during the competition period.
Designs are expected to reflect the city’s values of dynamism, creativity and openness, and may draw on landmarks such as Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, the Marble Mountains, Son Tra Peninsula, Hai Van Pass and Cham Islands.
Submissions should also align with Danang’s development vision to 2030 and 2050, positioning it as a modern, smart city and a regional hub for finance, innovation and logistics.
The final design will be selected following public consultation, with criteria emphasising simplicity, recognisability and adaptability across platforms.
