An overview of Bach Dang Street in Danang City during the 2025 Lunar New Year Festival.
On Monday, the Danang Tourism Department announced that the flower street will continue until May 1 instead of closing after the Tet Lunar New Year Festival as usual.
"The city is planning to organise various activities to celebrate its 50th liberation day on March 29 this year," the department said. "There will be a parade and fireworks displays on Bach Dang Street and surrounding areas, and a boat competition on the Han River, among other events on the evening of March 28 and throughout March 29."
Since its opening in mid-2024, the Bach Dang Pedestrian Street along the Han River has become a popular destination for residents and tourists.
During the Tet Lunar New Year Festival, the street is usually decorated with fresh flowers, lights, and miniature landscapes.
This year, the coastal city has invested over VND18.6 billion (over USD 740,000) in Tet decorations and entertainment events.
Danang welcomed over 469,000 visitors during the Tet holiday, up 16.70 per cent on the year.
