Man in Vinh Long fined for illegally keeping protected birds

Police in Son Dong Ward, Vinh Long Province, and local forest rangers on Monday fined a 26-year-old man for violating wildlife protection regulations.

Authorities had earlier discovered the man keeping one golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) and five black kites (Milvus migrans), all classified as Group IIB protected wildlife under Vietnam's regulations on endangered, precious and rare forest species.
