The browser’s traffic analysis revealed that social media dominated users’ activities, accounting for 27.4% of the total traffic, followed by video and music streaming at 23%. Meanwhile, work-related browsing represented 15.4%.
News consumption remained strong, with users having 2.6 billion visits to news websites. The browser's News Feed feature, integrated into its new tab page, contributed 335.8 million of these visits, representing 12.9% of the overall traffic.
In search trend, the most searched products were Samsung S24 Ultra, iPhone 16, Redmi note 13, iPhone 15, and Macbook Air M3. Popular application and software search centred on creative and social platforms, with Canva, TikTok, Gemini, Capcut, and Scratch taking the lead.
The year marked significant shifts in Vietnam's digital landscape, particularly in cybersecurity and online verification. Searches related to biometric authentication surged by 957% compared to 2023. Interest in government regulations also increased, with searches on Decree No. 147/2024/ND-CP on the management, provision, and use of internet services and cyber information, and social media verification rising by 35% and 72%, respectively.
Moreover, the technology category also recorded growth in searches related to online learning platforms. Notably, Scratch, Vnedu, and IOE showed remarkable increases by 154%, 73%, and 20% in search volume compared to the previous year./.
