In recent days, images and videos showing groups posing and checking in at the bridge have circulated widely on social media, attracting thousands of likes and shares as viewers praised the scenery.
Ky Lo Bridge, more than 1.8 kilometres long on the Quy Nhon-Chi Thanh section of the North-South Expressway, is still under construction and not yet open to traffic, with construction vehicles continuing to pass through the area.
Although warning signs and concrete barriers have been installed at one end of the bridge access road, some visitors have entered from the other end, which remains open to construction vehicles via a junction with the Chi Thanh-Van Phong Expressway.
He warned that many visitors not only stand in the middle of the road to take photos but also lean over the guardrails to film videos, posing serious risks as the bridge’s highest point rises about 50 metres above the ground.
Dak Lak traffic police said the expressway has not yet been put into operation and many sections remain under construction. Unauthorised access could lead to accidents and affect the progress of the project.
The 61.7-kilometre Quy Nhon-Chi Thanh expressway, running through Gia Lai and Dak Lak, cost more than VND 14.8 trillion (USD 562.7 million) and is expected to be completed before April 30 after construction began in early 2023.
