The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has teamed up with domestic travel firm Vitours Company Limited to offer direct charter flights between central province of Danang and Macau, Hong Kong and Guangzhou from next month.
Le Hong Ha, director of the central branch of Vietnam Airlines, said the carrier would conduct marketing activities at the foreign destinations to facilitate the opening of new international air routes from and to Danang International Airport.

Earlier, Vietnam Airlines and Vitours had launched the first charter service on the route from September 30 to October 4 to promote outbound tours to these Chinese destinations.
The carrier is also planning to offer charter flights between Japan and the central city next month, according to Ha. Also, is would consider opening new routes connecting Danang with Hong Kong and Japan next year.
Central coastal Danang City is the fourth biggest city and the third largest commercial port in Vietnam. It is aiming to become a centre of industry, commerce and tourism in the central region.
