Pham Thu Hang, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on April 8 that the agreement contributes to peace, security and safety in the region.
Vietnam called on all parties to exercise restraint, act responsibly and avoid actions that could escalate tensions. It also urged respect for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, along with the protection of civilians and critical infrastructure.
Hang added that Vietnam supports dialogue to seek sustainable and peaceful solutions based on international law and the United Nations Charter, for the benefit of all parties and for broader regional and global stability, cooperation and development.
