The FM Deputy Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang replied to a question about Vietnam’s protection works for the 130 Vietnamese women in Malaysia at a regular press conference in Hanoi on January 8.
She revealed that the Malaysian side acknowledged concerns of Vietnam during the investigation process.
All the women have been sent to a social protection centre, she said, adding that after indentifying their records, they will come back home.
Answering a question related to the two missing Vietnamese fishermen on board the Republic of Korea’s ship Munseong 103, Ms. Hang told that the Consular Department and the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK proposed Korean functional agencies announce the conclusion of the accident after the investigation completes.
The embassy will cooperate with representatives of companies in charge of these two fishermen to undertake related procedures such as insurance and salary to guarantee their rights and benefits.
The RoK’s side suggested the families of these men provide and send DNA samples to serve the search of these missing fishermen.
