The three new patients include an eight-year-old boy and two men aged 35 and 43. They landed at the Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on September 1 and were all sent to a quarantine area in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province upon arrival.
They are now being treated at Long Dien District Healthcare Centre.
With these new infection cases, the number of imported Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have increased to 358.
The same day, 19 more Covid-19 patients were released from hospital following their full recovery, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 786. There have been 35 deaths.
At present, 61,968 people who had close contact with Covid-19 patients or returned from virus-hit areas are being monitored at hospitals, quarantine facilities, and at home.
