According to local authorities, Danang Police received reports of the fire at 2.49 am and immediately dispatched four fire engines and 31 firefighters to the scene.

Fire crews arrived within six minutes. The blaze was found to have started in a motorcycle parking area on the ground floor, covering about 20 square metres and involving around 15 motorbikes.
By the time firefighters arrived, thick smoke had spread throughout the upper floors, trapping a number of guests inside the building.
Rescue teams worked to prevent the fire from spreading while deploying multiple search and rescue units. Firefighters accessed the building from the front and rear and used ladders to reach the second floor in search of those trapped.

The fire was largely brought under control by around 3 am. Rescue teams then checked each room, guiding occupants to safety and evacuating those unable to leave on their own.
By 3.30 am, all 28 people had been safely rescued and handed over to medical personnel. Two people suffered smoke inhalation and respiratory distress and received medical treatment.
No fatalities were reported.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
