Thunderstorms forecast for much of Vietnam over National Day holiday

Thunderstorms are forecast in many areas of VIetnam during the August 28-September 2 National Day holiday, while central localities will see mostly sunny and hot weather.

 Northern Vietnam and Thanh Hoa will see scattered showers and thunderstorms, with moderate to heavy rain in some areas from August 31 to September 2. Temperatures will range from 24-32 degrees Celsius, dropping below 23 degrees in some mountainous areas.

Hanoi will see scattered showers and thunderstorms from August 28 to 30, with locally heavy rain, becoming more widespread from August 31 to September 2. Temperatures will range from 24-32 degrees Celsius.

From Nghe An to Quang Tri, sunny and hot conditions are forecast from August 28 to 30, with isolated evening and overnight showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach 32-35 degrees Celsius, exceeding 36 degrees in some areas on August 28.

From August 31 to September 2, the region will remain sunny, with scattered evening showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 25-34 degrees Celsius, exceeding 34 degrees in some southern areas.

Hue and the south-central coast will see hot to extremely hot weather, with highs of 34-37 degrees Celsius, exceeding 38 degrees in some areas. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected in the evening and overnight.

The Central Highlands and southern Vietnam are expected to see isolated daytime showers and thunderstorms, becoming more widespread in the afternoon and evening, with locally heavy rain.

Temperatures in the Central Highlands region will range from 20-30 degrees Celsius, while southern Vietnam will see lows of 24-27 degrees and highs of 31-34 degrees Celsius.
