Patient 3760 from Thuan Thanh District was taken to Thuan Thanh General Hospital on May 11. She was diagnosed with high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and hypothyroidism. One day later, she tested positive for coronavirus and was moved to Bac Ninh General Hospital for treatment.
She was given intensive treatment with the support from doctors from Bach Mai Hospital and the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases. The Ministry of Health conducted three consultations on her case.
However, her condition continued worsening with heart failure and septic shock. On May 25, she was transported to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi. On the same day, she faced a coma and cardiac arrest. She died on Tuesday evening.
