Vinfast's SUV model brought to Paris Motor Show
VinFast is the first Vietnamese carmaker to attend a major international auto show.
Developed with Pininfarina's Italian design team and based on a BMW platform, the models are hoped to be launched in the Vietnamese market in fall 2019 before being exported.
Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong said the domestic market is the priority for Vinfast. Although Vietnam is a competitive market, he believes Vinfast’s chances of success are high.
The sedan model
Vinfast is expected to be the mainstay business line for Vingroup. Vinfast will not only manufacture cars, but also set foot in the heavy industry through cutting-edge technology to manufacture so many things. This is the new target of the firm, Vuong claimed.
With the total investment of VND35 trillion (USD1.54 billion), the 335-hectare Vinfast factory in Haiphong City is designed to produce 250,000 cars annually.
