The CAAV said hostilities involving the United States, Israel and Iran had intensified, prompting several countries including Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Israel to close or restrict their airspace for security reasons.
Major airports including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha have suspended or curtailed operations, disrupting global flight networks. Many international carriers have cancelled or rerouted services, particularly on Middle East routes and Europe-Asia corridors that transit the region.

To ensure aviation safety and minimise risks to passengers and airlines, CAAV has directed the state-run air navigation service provider, Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM), to develop operational plans, especially for flights requiring schedule adjustments due to the conflict.
Vietnamese and foreign airlines operating to, from or through affected airspace have been urged to closely monitor developments, assess risks to international routes, including Europe-Asia services, and update safety guidance before making operational decisions.
Carriers are required to proactively adjust flight schedules and routes, select safe alternatives and avoid conflict zones or restricted airspace. Airlines serving Vietnam must report and coordinate with CAAV when implementing operational changes.
The authority has also instructed airports and regional aviation authorities to coordinate with airlines and ground service providers to support passengers affected by delays, cancellations or rerouting.
