Two pilots and the attendant team of a Vietjet Air flight have been suspended after a plane skidded off the runway when landing at Tan Son Nhat Airport on Sunday.

According to the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV), Vietjet Air Flight VJ322 skidded off the runway when landing at Tan Son Nhat at 12.10 pm June 14. All passengers and crew members were safe but the plane’s undercarriage was heavily damaged.
The national carrier Vietnam Airlines reported that the incident had affected nearly 165 flights as the airport had to be temporarily closed until 6.30 pm.
Bamboo Airways also said they had to change the flight time and landing destination of 25 flights because of the incident.
Vietjet Air said rainy weather was the cause of the incident.
However, the pilot and co-pilot all had their licenses temporarily revoked, and the six-member attendant team were also suspended while authorities are carrying out investigations into the incident, CAAV said.
CAAV said that the weather condition at the landing time was not good with heavy rains and strong winds.
"Normally in bad weather conditions which pose risks to landing, the pilots should make early decisions which can include landing at another airport," CAAV said.
