Speaking at the event, Chairman Chung hailed the significant contributions made to the development of the capital city of Hanoi, by individuals from both home and abroad, during its 30 years of the Doi Moi (Renewal) process.
He affirmed that the Hanoi authorities and people highly appreciate the contributions made by the two French citizens, expressing his hope that they will make even further efforts to the development of Hanoi, as well as to the Vietnam-France friendship.
Since he began working in Hanoi in July 2013, Michel Drobniak has been appreciated for fostering the Vietnam – France cooperation, in such fields as infrastructure, aviation, healthcare and energy.
He has also helped to enhance technological transfer and has supported Hanoian businesses in expanding their operations and advertising their products to the French market.
Meanwhile, during his working term as the AFD manager, Rémi Genevey is recognised for positively coordinating with the Hanoi city authorities in completing the required procedures relating to the implementation of project on installing air quality monitoring stations in the city.
