Under a newly issued plan by the municipal People’s Committee, the city will strengthen disease monitoring and prevention at border gates, with quarantine measures applied comprehensively while maintaining smooth entry and exit procedures.

Authorities said remote thermal screening will be carried out for all incoming passengers to detect fever and other suspicious symptoms. Units will also collect epidemiological information from symptomatic travellers, particularly those arriving from high-risk areas.

The city will also reinforce community surveillance to investigate suspected cases, trace contacts and contain infections.

Hospitals and other healthcare facilities have been instructed to review staffing and medical supplies and ensure they are ready to admit patients if needed. The plan also calls for training on diagnosis, treatment and infection control, alongside expanded consultations to protect both patients and healthcare workers.
