The proposal by Vingroup has been already agreed by the Ministry of Transport.
Vingrou's electric bus model
Under the ministry’s instruction, the people’s committees of Hanoi and HCM City need to ask Vingroup to set out pilot runs, including technical safety and environmental standards.
Earlier, Vingroup proposed a plan to open 10 electric bus routes with a total of 150-200 buses in Hanoi and five routes of the same kind in HCM City.
In May, VinGroup set up the VinBus subsidiary specialising in transport services.
VinBus is scheduled to provide its public transport services in five major cities of Vietnam, including Hanoi, Haiphong, Danang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.
