
Traffic police dealt with nearly 1,800 violators, seizing 689 motorbikes and over 100 driving licenses on February 12.
According to the National Committee for Traffic Safety, the figures showed a decline of 7.7 percent in the number of accidents, 25.8 percent in the number of deaths and 21.2 percent in the number of injuries.
On the first day of the Lunar New Year on Friday, 20 accidents occurred nationwide, killing 15 people and injuring 11 others.
The same day, traffic police dealt with nearly 1,800 violators, seizing 689 motorbikes and over 100 driving licenses.
The committee said there were no serious congestion on major roads during the first day of the Lunar New Year.
