Top Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh will compete at the BWF Super Series, the most reputable championship, with seven other world’s top players.
Eight players, including world’s number one Lee Chong Wei (Malaysia), Boonsak Poonsana (Thailand), Long Chen and Du Pengyu (China), Jorgensen and Peter Hoeg Gade (Denmark), and Taufik (Indonesia) will be divided into two groups, competing in a round-robin format to select four players for the semi-final.
The winner of the contest, which will take place in Taiwan on January 5-9, will get a prize of US$400,000 while the runner-up will get US$20,000.
