According to residents near Tuyen Than Street in Hong Ha Ward, the discarded items were left in large, messy piles, with many still sealed and unused. Noticing the irregularity, locals quickly notified the authorities.

After being informed, the Quang Ninh Market Surveillance Department arranged for officers to investigate their origins.
Initial findings revealed that these health supplements had been gathered, filling over 13 rubbish trucks. The products included syrup, bird’s nest drinks, cordyceps, vitamin supplements, and hair dye and deodorant spray.
All of the health supplements were past their expiry date. Authorities are now probing their origin and how the products were intended to be disposed of.
