The airport plans to operate around 720 flights a day during the period, up about 15 per cent from the current average of 620 flights daily. Domestic services are expected to account for around 440 flights a day, while international routes will make up about 280.

The airport expects to handle 670 flights and 115,000 passengers a day in June, rising to 730 flights and 125,000 passengers daily from July 1 to August 15 as summer travel demand peaks.
Based on these projections, Tan Son Nhat is expected to serve more than 9 million passengers over the two-and-a-half-month period.
During the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and April 30-May 1 holiday period, the airport handled more than 3,500 flights, averaging 706 a day, and served over 586,000 passengers.
Passenger numbers during the holiday were slightly lower than in the same period of 2025, mainly due to a decline in domestic travel, although international passenger traffic rose 2.63%.
Tan Son Nhat recorded its highest-ever passenger throughput during the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday. On the fourth day of the holiday, February 20, the airport handled more than 170,000 passengers and over 1,000 arriving and departing flights.
