Beneficiaries include those from the Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam National University in Hanoi, the National Economics University in Hanoi, and the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City.
This is the seventh year the SMBC Global Foundation has presented the scholarship totaling US$13,500 to Vietnamese students.
Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Capital Markets Inc. established the SMBC Global Foundation in 1994. The foundation has awarded scholarships to students in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
The scholarships provide financial assistance to Vietnamese students studying at the nation’s leading universities.
