Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam has urged inferior levels to strive to search and gather around 2,000 sets of remains of martyrs in 2015.

This is part of an on-going project that has been carried out by the Government during the past years. Since 2012, as many as 6,093 sets of remains of martyrs have been gathered, making up over 60% of the preset target for the period of 2012-2015.

The Deputy PM tasked the Ministry of National Defense to collect and process relevant information supplied by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and provide instructions to military units and concerned localities in order to improve the effectiveness of the search work.

The Army Institute of Forensic Medicine was assigned to beef up the progress of the project to upgrade its ADN Testing Center to support the search and gathering efforts.

Other centers capable of providing good ADN test services are allowed to join.

Inferior levels were also asked to focus on improving and standardizing documents related to martyrs and tombs.

It has been 40 years since the war ended in Vietnam, the search and gathering of remains of martyrs are still going on.
