According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, the current low tropical pressure in the East Sea would develop into a storm.

A storm has been forecasted to affect the southern central region of Vietnam
At 1 am this morning, the centre of the low tropical pressure was some 250 kilometres from Song Southwest Cay of Spratly Islands with the wind force of up to 40-60 km per hour.
In the next 24 hours, it would move in the west north-west direction and would become a storm. By 1 am on October 30, the storm eye would be 410 kilometres from the ease of Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces with the wind strength of 60-75 kilometres per hour.
48 hours later, the storm is plotted to travel through Binh Dinh to Ninh Thuan and then weaken into a local tropical pressure.
On October 30-31, provinces from Thua Thien-Hue to Ninh Thuan and the Central Highlands region would have heavy rains. The same situation would occur in provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue between October 31 and November 2.
