A truck's head is heavily damaged after it collided with a container truck on the Phan Thiet-Dau Giay Expressway on November 27.
According to a report from the police, the accident occurred at 9.30 pm when the truck suddenly crashed into the container truck running in front of it. The intense crash left the truck's head heavily damaged and the driver seriously hurt in his cabin.
There was a long traffic jam following the crash and police had to close the expressway for some hours while dealing with the accident.
This was the fourth traffic accident reported on the Phan Thiet-Dau Giay Expressway this week.
Earlier on November 26, a driver died when two trucks collided on the road.
And November 21, a driver was also killed and 10 passengers injured when a passenger bus collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer.
Since its operation in April 2023, the Phan Thiet- Dau Giay Expressway, which runs 99 km through the southern Dong Nai Province and the south central Binh Thuan Province, has reported hundreds of traffic accidents.
The expressway helps shorten the travel time from HCM City to Binh Thuan to some two hours from the previous four to five hours. Therefore, it has always experienced heavy traffic.
