Social distancing violators fined in Nha Trang

Ward authorities have worked with related agencies to establish 66 inspection teams. They will focus on dealing with those who do not wear face masks and gather outside at medical facilities, religious places, public places and whether shop owners are following the rules.

From March 7 to April 7, they gave warnings to 1,100 cases, fined 21 cases for over VND143m. Two people who didn't wear face masks were fined VND600,000 (USD25). A group of people gathered at a construction site was fined VND7.5m and 18 foreign people gathered to party were fined VND132m.

Violations that are considered beyond the authority of communes and wards have been submitted to the city people's committee.

According to Khanh Hoa Province Department of Health, as of 11 am on April 15, the province was monitoring and quarantining 13 cases. From January 9 to April 15, up to 1,362 people had been put under quarantine and monitoring.
