According to Nguyen Trung Cap, Deputy Director of the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi, the treatment for these nine patients are quite complicated, however, their condition is not very serious.
The Covid-19-infected Vietnamese workers repatriated from Equatorial Guinea are staying at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases
The flight transporting 219 Vietnamese workers from Equatorial Guinea landed at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi. Upon arrival they were sent to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases’ branch in Dong Anh District.
In Equatorial Guinea, 120 among those were tested positive for Covid-19 virus, but all of the people were still provided with the test again after being sent to the hospital.
Dr. Than Manh Hung from hospital who was on the flight said that on the way returning to Vietnam, 16 workers suffered from fever and they were quickly given fever reducers.
The hospital has arranged 400 sick beds for the treatment of Covid-19 patients. Since Wednesday afternoon, the hospital’s branch in Dong Anh has only received Covid-19 patients and suspected ones.
The hospital’s staff will be quarantined at the hospital for five weeks, starting from Wednesday.
