The arrests followed inspections of foreign residents in the area, during which police in Nam Nha Trang Ward discovered nine foreigners staying at a lodging facility in the An Binh Tan urban area showing suspicious signs.

Further verification by local police and the provincial investigation agency confirmed that three of the individuals were wanted by Interpol on charges related to organised crime and fraud.

Authorities detained the suspects and escorted them to Cam Ranh International Airport, where they were handed over to South Korean law enforcement agencies in accordance with regulations.
