According to social media reports, the event took place on the morning of March 23 at a bridge in Hung Trung Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province.
Speaking to Dantri reporters, a representative of the Hung Trung Commune People's Committee confirmed the incident, stating that the woman in the video was a local.
"This woman is married and has four children. However, she has been struggling with emotional instability and has previously made similar threats whenever conflicts arose within her family," the official said.
The commune authorities also clarified that domestic violence was not a factor in her actions.
Thanks to the intervention, the woman and her two children were safely taken home. Her condition has stabilised, and local authorities continue to monitor and support the family to ensure their well-being.
