The incident has come to public attention after a video clip went on social media on March 24. The clip indicated that a little girl aged around six was driving at a speed of roughly 60 kilometres per hour on a road in Binh Xuyen District.

Being encouraged by her father sitting behind her, the child was very excited.
Vinh Phuc police quickly identified the man as a 31-year-old resident of Binh Xuyen District.

Police emphasised how hazardous the situation had been, posing a serious threat to the child and other people.
The man was then fined VND29 million for allowing an unqualified individual to control a vehicle.
