New scanning system installed in Quang Ninh

The system has been piloted at the checkpoint at Bach Dang Bridge to better monitor who goes in and out of Quang Ninh from September 29. Bach Dang Bridge is one of the main routes leading into Quang Ninh Province.

The Bach Dang checkpoint is also on the main route connecting Hanoi, Haiphong and Quang Ninh. Freight vehicles often use this route to transport goods from the central and southern regions to Mong Cai Border Gate. It is estimated that over 3,000 vehicles are going through this checkpoint daily.

Previously, staff at the checkpoints had to use their mobile phones to scan driver QR codes. With new scanners installed, the employees will not have to be in close contact with other people. The scanning speed is also faster and all information can be quickly transferred to computers for comparison.

Quang Yen Commune People's Committee has synchronised the data and tested the system on September 29 before officially installing the new system at other checkpoints.
