The incident happened at Bau Sen Lake area in Quang Trach District for around five seconds at the depth of 8.4 kilometres.

Quang Trach District People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Xuan Dat, said the earthquake caused no losses.
This is the first time Quang Binh has experienced such an earthquake.
According to the Institute of Geophysics, the earthquake has also brought about shakes for some wards in neighbouring Dong Hoi City.
The Institute of Geophysics added that Vietnam is located in the area which can experience light and medium earthquakes.
