At a March 23 reception in Havana, Colome Ibrarra described Quang’s visit as a landmark for activities celebrating the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties towards strengthened traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries as well as police forces.
The Cuban Minister also hailed the remarkable achievements in socio-economic development, security and defence the Vietnamese people have recorded in the national construction and development process.
Host and guest reviewed the results of cooperation in anti- crime and security in recent times and agreed to exchange information and experience in dealing with traditional and non-traditional security threats.
They also consented to increase cooperation in the fight against organized, transnational and high- tech crime, terrorism, drug and human trafficking in order to ensure security and safety for representative agencies and citizens of each nation.
The two sides were unanimous in enhanced cooperation in personnel training and providing essential equipment and specialized vehicles.
On the occasion, Quang invited Ibrarra to visit to Vietnam and attend the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Police.
