According to the southern regional hydro-meteorological centre, a weak cold high from the north will push the low-pressure zone southwards over the next three to 10 days, with conditions expected to intensify slightly around March 27-28.

On Tuesday, dry weather is expected across most of the region, with isolated heat in eastern areas. Temperatures are forecast at 33-35 degrees Celsius, with some locations exceeding 35 degrees.
Tay Ninh recorded the highest temperature at 35.5 degrees Celsius, while relative humidity remained low at 35-55 per cent, dropping to about 33.7 per cent in Bien Hoa.
In Ho Chi Minh City, temperatures peaked at around 35 degrees Celsius, with humidity ranging from 35-45 per cent. The hottest period is expected between 11 am and 3 pm.
Authorities warned that prolonged heat and low humidity could increase the risk of fires in residential areas and forests, as well as cause dehydration, exhaustion and heatstroke among people exposed for extended periods.
