President Truong Tan Sang and a high-ranking delegation left Hanoi on October 6 for the 21st meeting of economic leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC 21) forum at the invitation of Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Taking part in the delegation are Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Director of the President Office Dao Viet Trung, Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang, and Ambassador to Indonesia Nguyen Xuan Thuy.
On October 7 and 8, President Sang will attend plenary sessions, group dialogues, summits and bilateral meetings with leaders of the member economies so as to continue the implementation of the policy on the active and proactive international integration, the attaching of importance to and the bringing into full play of Vietnam’s role at Asia-Pacific cooperation mechanism, and the strengthening of bilateral relations between Vietnam and key APEC members.
