TrueMoney Vietnam expands financial access for workers and businesses

TrueMoney Vietnam is expanding access to services with solutions for two underserved groups: salaried workers with limited access to credit and dealers seeking liquidity to fund their operations.

At the heart of the initiative is a win-win approach that links the company's growth directly to improvements in its customers' financial well-being. Rather than extracting value from financially vulnerable consumers, TrueMoney Vietnam aims to act as a growth partner, with the business benefiting as its users become more financially secure.

"We grow when our users grow, and this is not just a tagline but part of the business design," said Min Sung Kim, CEO of TrueMoney Vietnam, highlighting the company's focus on sustainable financial empowerment.

The strategy addresses two distinct market needs. The first is a salaried workforce that, despite having regular employment, may not have immediate access to money they have already earned, leaving them vulnerable when unexpected expenses arise before payday.

The second comprises dealers who need additional liquidity to take advantage of business opportunities and replenish their inventories.

Recognising these unmet needs, Kitiphicherth Wongwaiwate, TrueMoney's international business development manager, outlined two approaches designed to serve these markets at scale.

Through a partnership with a platform provider, TrueMoney Vietnam allows workers to access part of their earned wages on demand, with the money transferred directly to their bank accounts at any time. The Salary-On-Demand feature enables employees to cover unexpected bills or urgent purchases without having to wait for their scheduled payday.

"It gives workers financial peace of mind, knowing that they have cash on demand when the situation calls," Kitiphicherth said.

For the past five years, TrueMoney Vietnam's strategic partnerships with local banks have provided liquidity to CPF Vietnam dealers, helping them replenish inventory on time.

With streamlined eligibility requirements and higher credit limits, the financing solution enables dealers to maintain the cash flow needed to expand their operations and respond to changing business demand.

“Having cash available when there is an unmissable opportunity, that's the value we help provide,” Jetniphat said.

A coherent vision for accessible finance

Together, the two solutions form part of a broader strategy to address the financial needs of both workers and businesses: providing employees with quick and sustainable access to their earned wages through earned wage access (EWA), while giving dealers the liquidity they need during critical business cycles.

Both initiatives are based on the same principle: accessible finance is not a luxury but a necessity for a functioning market.

With its established partnerships and experience in the sector, TrueMoney Vietnam is well positioned to expand these services and provide tailored financial solutions to the workers and businesses it serves.
