The Vietnamese leader also suggested the two sides continue maintaining delegation and people-to-people exchanges in order to strengthen mutual understanding and trust. They also need to actively coordinate in implementing their signed agreements, he added.
The PM said he hopes that Myanmar will continue to facilitate Vietnamese businesses’ operations in the country, thus increasing two-way trade.
He affirmed Vietnam ’s support for Myanmar to help it fulfil the role as the ASEAN Chair in 2014 with priority given to the successful implementation of the plan to form the ASEAN Community by 2015.
For his part, President U Thein Sein said his country wants to foster cooperation with Vietnam in all fields, especially economics, trade, investment and agriculture.
He also voiced his wish that Vietnam will share its experience with Myanmar during the year the latter assume the ASEAN Chair, suggesting the two sides closely cooperate at regional and international forums.
Both leaders highly valued the two Governments’ signing of a visa exemption agreement for ordinary passport s, a step forward to facilitate the travel of the two countries’ people.
