According to the Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security, 64 patrol teams involving 185 officers, including 27 plainclothes personnel, were deployed on May 12 to monitor and handle violations at road-rail intersections.

Authorities said 110 violations were recorded, including 12 involving cars and 98 involving motorbikes. Notices for automated fines were also issued in three cases.
Common offences included crossing railway tracks when warning lights were active, attempting to pass while barriers were lowering and stopping or parking within railway safety corridors.
The largest numbers of violations were recorded in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang and Nghe An.
Police warned that road-rail intersections remain high-risk areas where even a few seconds of negligence could lead to serious accidents.
