Petroleum prices rise

The retail price of bio-fuel E5 RON 92 rose by VND250 per litre to VND20,143 per litre; while that of RON 95 increased by VND260 per litre to a level of VND21,397.

The prices of diesel and kerosene were increased by VND360 and VND320 per litre to VND16,022 and VND15,082 per litre respectively. Meanwhile, the price of mazut was raised by VND900 to cap at VND15,952 per kilo.

The Petrol Price Stabilisation fund was used to subsise prices by VND150 for RON 95, VND200 for diesel, VND200 for kerosene and VND100 for mazut. However, this was not applied for E5 RON 92.

Petroleum prices were previously cut twice with the latest adjustment on August 26.

The current government mechanism reviews fuel prices every 15 days to keep domestic prices aligned with the global market.
