According to local authorities, the accident occurred around 11.30 pm on April 7. The vehicle, operated by Quoc Dat Company and driven by 50-year-old Hoang Triet, was travelling from Dak Nong to Danang when it veered off the road and overturned in Phuoc Thanh Commune, Tuy Phuoc District.
The crash caused the vehicle to flip, shattering the cabin windows and damaging the doors. Passengers’ belongings were scattered across the field. Rescue teams, including local police and Binh Dinh SOS units, arrived at the scene and had to break open the vehicle to free the victims.
A 33-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while nine others sustained injuries, including three with severe trauma. All victims were taken to Binh Dinh General Hospital for treatment.
Crane has since recovered the bus to assist with the ongoing investigation.

According to local officials in Phuoc Thanh, the section where the accident occurred is known for frequent traffic incidents. Commune police have proposed that relevant authorities install speed-limit signs and surveillance cameras to improve driver awareness.
National Highway 19C spans over 150 kilometres and connects the provinces of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Dak Lak, and Gia Lai.
