The heatwave would last until the end of July 4.
According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on Thursday, the midland and delta areas in the north region saw highest average temperatures of 35-36 degrees centigrade. Some localities even had temperatures of over 37 degrees centigrade. The central region faced the highest temperature of 39 degrees centigrade.

The same temperatures would happen in the northern and central region today, July 2 with the humidity of only 40-55%. The high temperatures would last 10-19 hours during the day.
The central region would witness the heatwave until July 6.
The hot weather has raised fire warnings, particularly in areas with high demand for electricity use and forest fires in the central region.
Health experts recommend people wear protective clothing, including long-sleeved shirts, collared jackets, trousers, and wide hats to cover their face, neck and ears.
People should wear sunglasses with UV protection.
