No casualties have been reported at a market fire at a Vietnamese shopping centre in Germany.

"The fire was brought under control after two hours," the embassy said. "The warehouse was burned down but no one was hurt. The main shopping area nearby was not affected by the fire."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked the embassy to closely work with German authorities to support any Vietnamese citizens affected by the fire.

Dong Xuan Shopping Centre which was built in 2003 is the biggest Vietnamese market in Berlin. There are around 2,000 stores selling various products including clothes, cosmetics, footwares, and electronic devices. There are also restaurants, hair salons, and some offices in the area.
Police are further investigating the cause of the fire.
