New Kim Ma Bus Station underway

After closing the Kim Ma bus station, the manager of Urban Traffic Development Investment under the Hanoi Department of Transportation started construction of Kim Ma Bus Rapid Transit Station.

After closing the Kim Ma bus station, the manager of Urban Traffic Development Investment under the Hanoi Department of Transportation started construction of Kim Ma Bus Rapid Transit Station. The VND97.4 billion (US$4.67 million) station – expected to be complete in 18 months – includes a multi-functional building with five floors that can serve a bus rapid transit (BRT) system.

The city also put forward several related projects such as increasing the bearing capacity of the Lang Ha - Huynh Thuc Khang overpass and expanding the Ba La – Yen Nghia – Yen Nghia road to better serve fast buses.

The Yen Nghia – Giang Vo - Kim Ma rapid bus route will travel 14km and is expected to go into operation in early 2015. The construction of the route was funded by a $49 million loan by the World Bank.
