Nearly 800 Vietnamese citizens from Japan, South Korea brought home

Around 800 Vietnamese citizens from Japan and South Korea have been repatriated safely on two flights operated by the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.

Around 800 Vietnamese citizens from Japan and South Korea have been repatriated safely on two flights operated by the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.

The flights landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City today, December 21.

Passengers on the flights are children aged below 18, the elderly, the sick, students and other special cases.

Representatives from the Vietnamese embassies in Japan and South Korea helped the Vietnamese citizens in check-in procedures.

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, passengers and crew members were provided with medical checkups and then sent to quarantine sites.

Vietnam Airlines closely conformed to Covid-19 prevention regulations during the flights to ensure safety.
