According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the flight was arranged by authorities of the two countries and Bamboo Airways.
Staff at the Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia were sent to the airport to help the citizens with necessary procedures for the flight.
Passengers include children aged under 18, workers whose visas or labour contracts expired, and those in extremely difficult circumstances.
After landing at the airport, all passengers and crew members of the flights were given health check-ups and sent to quarantine areas for 14 days following the government's regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.
To date, over 210 repatriation flights have been arranged by Vietnamese authorities to help over 60,000 local people stranded abroad due to Covid-19 return home, the ministry said, adding that more such flights are set to be conducted in the coming time.
