The Standing Committee of the National Assembly this morning, November 12, announced the secret ballot result for the appointment.

Huynh Thanh Dat has been voted as Minister of Science and Technology by 92% of National Assembly deputies. Dat, 58, from the southern province of Ben Tre is currently director of Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City.
Acting Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long, 54, from the northern province of Nam Dinh has been officially elected as Minister of Health.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Hong, 52, from Hanoi has been selected as Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam. Hong has been Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam since August 2014.
The National Assembly has also agreed with the Chief Justice of the Vietnam Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh’s proposal to choose Tran Hong Ha, Pham Quoc Hung and Ngo Hong Phuc to be the judges of the Vietnam Supreme People's Court.
