Que Phong is a mountainous district lying in the northwest of Nghe An with over 90 percent of the residents from ethnic minority groups, 41.08 percent of whom live in poverty.

Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Nguyen Thi Ha, give presents to disadvantaged children at Tri Le Secondary School
During her visit to the district on December 24, deputy minister Nguyen Thi Ha gave 20 presents worth VND 1 million each to disadvantaged children at Tri Le Secondary School. She praised local authorities for their care for the children and asked them to continue their support so that local children could have better living and studying conditions.

Also at the event, 270 scholarships worth over VND 500 million were given to the students by the National Fund For Vietnamese Children in co-operation with companies including Huong Viet Sinh, NatruMax, Vinanutrifood, Bao Hung, and Junomilk. Dantri/Dtinews Newspaper also awarded 20 scholarships to students at Tri Le 2 Primary School.

Deputy minister Nguyen Thi Ha also visited a local war cemetery, a military border post, and a rehabilitation centre during her visit to Que Phong. She sent her best wishes to local people for the coming New Year.
